Korean Fashion (Dec 10, 2008 2:56 am)
I just returned from a week in Korea. Not much time for clubbing or shopping but I did get to enjoy some good food.
It doesn't take long walking around the streets of Seoul to notice that Korean women and girls take their fashion seriously. No outfit would be complete without the perfect heels. The variety of tights was amazing. In the U.S. they seem to come only in black and tan. Who knew such options existed. haha![]()
Korean fashion differed from what I saw in Singapore. While you still see the high end fashion boutiques, there was much more locally produced fashion in Korea, or so it seemed to me.
But the most fascinating thing to me was the shopping malls. Try visiting Designer's Club, Migliore Valley, Nuzzon, Gwanghee Fashion Mall and you will find miles and miles of women's clothes and barely a handful of men's clothing store in sight! LOL
If you need greater variety in your shopping, jump on line number 4 from Dongdaemun Station and go to Hoehyeon Station. Take exit 5 and you will find the country's biggest traditional market -- Namdaemun Market in the very center of Seoul. It has a little of everything, including children's clothing, kitchenware and local and imported products. Most shops have their own factories and make the products themselves, offering very good prices.
