The type of eye opener that changes your perspective on hip-hop today. That’s why his climb to the top of the hip-hop world is endeavored by such an impressive list of notable accomplishments i.e. the people he’s worked with, his music lyrically, and his production talent. His beats are phenomenal. They tell incredible stories. As an MC, he’s about as real as it gets; not because of where he has come from or how he came to get where he is today, but because of the way he has chosen to express himself. Coming from one of the roughest neighborhoods in Miami-Dade, FL, Lord Raven witnessed first hand the struggles of growing up in the hood, and doing what you need to do to survive. Lord Raven has a story to tell bringing back the style of music, which was the foundation of hip-hop. Lord Raven moved with his family to the West Perrine area in Miami, FL at the time when Miami was the murder capital of the world. With the tough surroundings of seeing dead bodies, prostitution, and drug users and dealers; Lord Raven was forced to adapt to his surroundings and learn the necessary skills to make it in the streets. In 1993, Lord Raven and a few of his former classmates decided to form a hip-hop group. During that time, Lord Raven also discovered a new and natural talent of producing after being taken advantage of by former producers he used to work with. Lord Raven then took on a new role as the groups producer and with the enhancement of his production skills, other local talents began to seek Lord Raven for his music. His group had local fame performing at many of the Miami night clubs. They drew fans in by the droves to listen to Lord Raven tell the stories of life in his neighborhood and his strategy to survive. Lord Raven endured many difficult times in his life which fueled his drive to make it into the world of mainstream music to allow everyone to hear his struggle, thoughts, and stories of his life. Lord Raven’s last performance in Miami was at the Spring Fest 02 concert, where he and his group shared the stage with headliners such as Fat Joe and Mobb Deep. After years of hard work and many fulfilling accomplishments, the group parted with each member taking different paths in their lives, but Lord Raven remained committed to hip-hop, the music, and the culture that he loved and felt so close to. After saturating the Miami area with his music, Lord Raven relocated to New Britain, CT with his family, and began to infect the New England area with his music. Lord Raven has been performing at night clubs in the tri-state area and is beginning to branch out via the Internet. With the expansion of technology, Lord Raven has been able to branch out making his music available worldwide through the web on different sites. Raven has gained fans all over the world through the sites that post his music. Raven still inhibits the drive and desire to share his story with the world. Those who heard have been ultimately touched, and now, he is ready to impact the rest of the world.
