So apparently..I haven't done the thanksgiving thing.  It's kind of been a habit of mine-- every thanksgiving, I do the thanksgiving thing; what I'm thankful for, who I'm thankful for..but this year, I want to change that up a bit.  I'm gonna count the things I'm really thankful for this year, and this year alone; from last thanksgiving to this one, in no particular order.

I'm thankful for...

-Getting into Irvine: I don't know how many colleges there are that strike that balance between work and play that'll satisfy me, with the right number of downright weird people but it's one of the few places I can feel at home, comfortable, like I belong and seeing as how I can only count the number of instances I've felt that comfortable on one hand, it means a lot.
- Getting to stay in cornerstone, and moving up to the college group is something that I kinda needed and the ambience there is so different from youth group, but at the same time, such a good thing
- Meeting Chris Yoo.  What can I say, this guy's quirky personality and interests have both expanded my own horizons and made me proud to be a Chris
- My housing situation, although not what I initially wanted, is far better than it could've turned out.  I live with three rather different people and have learned a lot about people (and I'm not much of a social fellow myself) and about life in general (as in, how to live haha) I'm glad that it's these three guys instead of three random guys I didn't know.
- The freshmen d00ds at SEED in general have kept me straight with my walk, and haven't let me slack off too much...much indebted to you guys, thanks a lot
- SPOP and SMLI, even though I haven't seen much of you guys since the program ended out, you guys helped me feel really welcome at Irvine, and that's something priceless
- "The Lunch Crew": I've come to appreciate you guys a lot more than I used to when I used to sporadically show up during lunch to receieve strange looks from you guys and say the most odd things.  I'd have to say that..you guys are really my friends.  Even the slightly not-quite friends people that I usually just make fun of like Victoria.  Yeah, Victoria, you're alright too.
- Joe: What the heck can I say?  You're freaking Joe Oh.  I'm just thankful.  Yeah, cryptic I know
- for being able to get out

You know, this year I don't really have such a large list...doubtless I've forgotten many things, but still, it's not as long as some other years before this one...but to be honest, this year, I'm a lot more...genuinely happy than I've been for a long, long, time...so it's not even material things, circumstances, what happens to you or even what you have to be thankful for that makes you happy..I guess?
