I think it's perfectly fine when someone is interested and appreciative with other culture, BUT sometimes to a certain extent, when it gets overly obssesive, I find it annoying and I heard someone said like this :

"Nah Japanese is the best language out of all the languages in Asia.It sounds better ,all the other ,all the others just sound like yapping"

and when people are randomly blurting out Japanese words ,or are obviously trying to act Japanese

well, people have kind of implied it to me. But in my case at least ,I have no desire to be asian,err, its east asian or any nationality for that matter.

Im half indonesian half filipino and always will be,what's the point of wanting or trying to be anything else?

But when it comes to Japan, Korea, and China, I'm interested with their music ,not because it's east asian. I think the musicians for their music, not where they're from I think part of the reason people get stick for liking east asian things,especially Japanese and Korean stuff,is because of the connotations of their good looking and good boybands/girlbands/anime.

People with little knowledge of the country tend to think about anime, and that doesn't always have the best reputation for reasons not necessarily justified. Now I personally don't watch anime and stuff, and Im not into Korean music or Japanese music so much, i know only a few of them.lol because a few people think I do because of the fact I listen to some Japanese music

or

you don't need to be from asia to like FOB clothing , you don't need to be from America to like hot dog, you don't need to be from netherlands to like tulips
