I've taken a break from writing in my journal much lately.  I have had so much going on with the start of the new semester.

I had an open house party last night.  Twelve people made it.  It was a fun time.  I am glad that I seemed to have just about the right amount of food.  I want to have another party this spring when the weather is warmer, and we can use the roof.  Twelve people was just enough to keep my house from becoming too cramped.  I wish I had taken some photos, but I was so busy with party things, I didn't think of it!  Next time, I will have to try that.

I don't own this couch.  I copied it from a website.  It is a good example of the crazy burnt-orange color of a lot of the couches here.  Isn't it just sick?  What possessed someone to create a couch like this?

Here is a photo of my new place.  I live on the 3rd floor, and have the roof above me to use, as well.  I will do some grilling in the summer!  There is a storage room on the roof, and a small greenhouse.  I get new wallpaper next week.  Douglas came back, and is moving his stuff out later this week.  You can see my car and scooter in the photo, too.
