Elegant mendiants! 

Alice Medrich wrote in her book that she once only liked truffles (rich and creamy), but came to enjoy the very thin and simple yet equally devine mendiants later.  I totally agree.  I once regarded these simple chocolate as too light.  However, I am very pleased with the harmony of the falvor these mendiants brought.  It was easy to make (though once the disks are ready, you'll be REALLY busy before it sets!) and looks very elegant and VERY tasty!!!
