I'm not a baker, so anything that works for me will work for everyone. :D
Put the batter (sweet rice flour, egg, baking soda, milk, sugar, salt) about one third of a cavity (of a mini muffin pan)
Add red bean paste (you can find canned ones at Asian markets) - about 1/2 tsp
cover up the bean paste, then put walnut halves on top ( I forgot when I made this batch and had to put them in the middle of baking!!)
Voila! Chewy mochiko(sweet rice) cakes.
